Camping in Wyoming

One of our recent expeditions took us to Wyoming, where we camped out in the national forest. We were invited by Art and Melissa to join their family on what is a annual camp out in the wyoming wilderness. It was a treat and a great evening had by all in a very picturesque setting.
Lesleigh decided to go rock climbing behind our camp site and the views were worth the climb.
Art and Hannah settling in before sunset and the start of a relaxing evening around the camp fire.
Views of the forest to the west of our camping spot and not a person to be seen.
Although I am not good with heights, Lesleigh managed top get me up to a decent view point on the rocks.
This photo may not do justice to just how high Art, Melissa and Lesleigh climbed to get top the top of these rocks.

The sunset from our camping spot looked very dramatic against the granite rocks and the national forests.
Scott loaned us his two man REI tent and it was perfect for the night!
The car was fantastic and purred along the dirt roads to the camp site like we were sitting in lounge chairs at home, never even felt the bumps.

There is nothing quite like a camp fire in the wilderness. This photo was taken into the late evening and is a dramatic view of the log burning, looking more like a fish swimming amongst the flames.
