And onto our first day of overcast weather with a touch of light rain. San Diego is very pretty but pricing of property is way out of our league for consideration right now. Lesleigh and I began our morning trip on the island across the bay. We had breakfast there and picked up a local newspaper to check real estate ads. A very modest 3 bedroom 2 bathroom wooden home started at around $900000. It looks like most entry level properties even outside of town will start in the low $400000.

The weather changed and we had a light shower come down so we headed to the aircraft carrier docked in the harbour and paid to go on a tour of the ship. It was a great tour and we even got to spend 30 min in a flight simulator of a fighter jet and experience flight combat and take off and landing on a carrier. Lesleigh and I had to work as a team and we have yet to land and stay on the aircraft carrier, but it was fun.

We spent four hours walking the decks of this huge boat and enjoyed every moment.

Found this photo on the camera card which I took from the helicopter just before entering the grand Canyon rim. Looks superb.
