Evergreen

So we have spent a few more days in Evergreen just outside Denver, and we are learning new things everyday. Fred and Lorraine have been an absolute God send and they are teaching us all the ropes as the days go by.

When you arrive in the US you are treated as a start out and there is no credit history anywhere. Even though you may have accounts over in SA they count for zero in the US. Oh, before I forget you also don't exist if you don't have a social security number. Lesleigh and I applied for the social security numbers in New York on the 4th May. Today I hope to receive mine in the mail as Lesleigh received hers yesterday. Once you have a social security number you can apply for accounts at various institutions.

It snowed here on Tuesday night and the snow was really thick, On Wednesday it was a grey day with more snow, then on Thursday the sun came out and what a beautiful hot day and the snow virtually disappeared, Last night it started again and today we have had rain, sleet, snow and glorious sunshine all in the same hour.

I got a couple of pics of the snow and the first that I have seen fall. It was great to see and the homes are geared for the cold out here, all you need is a t shirt indoors and you are warm as toast. Attached are a couple of pics of the surroundings in evergreen.
